Dr. Hegab has about 30 years of a diverse range of experience managing project controls and claims on public, commercial, and construction projects. He has particularly extensive expertise in project scheduling, claim analysis, negotiations, dispute resolution, and cost estimating and controls. He has expertise in productivity analysis and delays analysis. He is an active member of the ASCE, PMI, and CMAA. He holds a Doctorate in Civil Engineering/ Construction Management.
As a Professor and a founder of the construction management department at California State University Northridge (CSUN) in 2004, Dr. Hegab taught project management, scheduling, cost estimating, project management, contract administration, labor productivity, and contract and specifications several times.
He has authored several innovative technical papers that have been published in prestigious ASCE journals such as:

Raphael is a Project Planning/Scheduling leader and Forensic Delay Analyst with more than 40 years of experience. Raphael has a successful "boots on the ground" career having run many projects on time across oil, gas, and mining EPCM projects Defense & Industry from FEED, through to construction to maintenance shutdowns and commissioning for many years as leader of planning & scheduling teams. Raphael is internationally regarded as a pioneer in the management practice of planning & scheduling, forensic analysis’ of programs & time-related cost assessment & controls.
Delivers projects on time and budget using Earned Value/Schedule tools to objectively measure project performance & progress. He thrives on working in complex client disciplines, delivering highly innovative solutions to problems with the latest methods. He excels in developing strategy, setting functional direction & leading large, cross-functional teams ensuring a projects’ long-term goals & objectives are met. Raphael has a diversified portfolio of ICT, Construction, Infrastructure, Defence, Commercial, Telecoms,
Commissioning, Relocation, Maintenance facilities projects. Translate project requirements into specific tasks for all disciplines with the skill to oversee integration & delivery. Also, He is the chairman of the Guild of Project Controls Certification Board & a member of ISO PM Standards.
